Sean, we want to see more leadership from you! But you 100% cannot have admin access to our email.
You can control the MX record, have control over the users, have the ability to read everything, just not the Admin keyword. Meaning you have to bug the CEO whenever something changes, and boy will he get mad at you for bugging him.

Hacker Public Radio ~ The Technology Community Podcast
Hacker Public Radio is an podcast that releases shows every weekday Monday through Friday. Our shows are produced by the community (you) and can be on any topic that are of interest to hackers and hobbyists.hackerpublicradio.org
Wow! An entire #HackerPublicRadio series on #AWK. I'm sure I've heard some of these already, but I'll see if I can add just the series to @AntennaPod and decrease even more my copious amounts of free time for listening 😉
And, of course, repeat my so-far unkept promise to contribute an episode or two. I hear @hpr is running low on episodes again.
@bobjonkman @ghostdancer @AntennaPod
I'm reliably informed that there will be an ebook to accompany the series.

Apparently I can't report someone who is using Mastodon, because I am not using Mastodon.
I can't even just go over to their mastodon page and report them.
Reporting logistics is hard - but there's gotta be a better way

I often say that a good prank needs meat on it.
Here's the BSDCan 2019 Charity Auction, where I pulled perhaps the best prank of my life. I would feel bad for Bob, except, you know, Bob.

This prank had a second part, given at the end of mwl.io/archives/4772 .
At this year's @bsdcan, we will auction off rare copies of the exclusive Beck and Provost Editions of "Terrapin Sky Tango."

@Gabriele Svelto I really don't have to explain anything to you, especially not something you framed in bad faith. Obviously we don't have the same values, and you can't talk anyone out of their values, the same way I probably cant talk to you into growing some.
Values are only meaningful if you are making concessions for them. Pointing out that these personal concessions are somehow unwarranted or inconsistent will only get you a cold shoulder.

That was one of the problems that occurred to me when I read about a Skyrim mod using ChatGPT.
One of the things that astonishes me about this imminent disaster is that people seem oblivious that the main virtue of computing is getting definite answers to specific questions; LLMs will make computers completely useless for their primary purpose.

Skyrim Mod Uses ChatGPT and Other AI Tools to Give NPCs a Memory and Endless Things to Say - IGN
A Skyrim modder named Art From The Machine has shown off a mod they're working on that uses ChatGPT and other AI tools to give NPCs a memory of your adventure, endless things for them to say, and a way to ask them questions with your voice.Adam Bankhurst (IGN)

@Greg Stolze So I played Bring Me The Head Of The Comte De Sainte Germaine over the last 1.5 months (one session every other thursday).
And Cloisonné basically decided to smash her Subaru into Mother Apocolypse in order to protect Joy from her mother, and no one is sure what to do with these emotions.
This is your fault and I think we all love you for it! Thanks so much - that was really good (and for two players a very Feet First intro to UA)

My son will randomly decide he wants to make things. And basically has no conception that he can't make things and that's really exciting.
He also made a train out of playdough, and then made a little mini-motor like he'd seen in toys, and opened the playdough train, put the playdough motor in, and said it could go by itself.
Just so proud of how much I've let him understand making.

What I hear when I see people who don't mask forcing people to attend in person:
1. I don't care about disabled people's health.
2. My convenience is more important than your safety.
3. I don't mind if your quality of life continues to worsen due to my actions.
4. I don't believe I can become disabled like you.
5. If I pretend it doesn't exist then I can't get sick. Stop telling me covid exists and I could get sick.

I suddenly pulled from my memory a conservative making a case for Conservative Freeganism and Dumpstering to me in uni
it ... was coherent and good - but looking back 17 years later - holy shit, I want that back
like this
Basically it boiled down to
1) Freegansim will allow you to feed people for cheap, and taxes are bad, so if you can feed people with social discards you don't need to raise taxes
2) Feeding yourself for free is an important part of Pulling Yourself Up By Your Bootstaps
And like - sure - the premises are bad - but the actual stuff is... fine?

For a few days I've been emailing back and forth with an agent to schedule an apartment tour. Today we make the 20 minute drive there, and the receptionist says "oh, we don't have any units to show right now."
"But I booked a tour through an agent."
"Who'd you message?"
"Kate"
"Oh, Kate is our bot. Have you heard of ChatGPT?"
This is how I find out they use AI to schedule tours, but the AI doesn't have access to their booking info. We live in hell
