@HopelessDemigod Lot less apples to peel and core with Cortlands.

@HopelessDemigod I use this peeler/corer/slicer. Make it way more fun 😀🍎

In my quest to provide novel, apple-related posts, I've upgraded my approach with a video! Behold the powerful, yet simple, mechanical device that peels, cores, and slices apples quickly and reliably! Which will lead to apple sauce.

#Apples #AppleSauce

@Dianora (Diane Bruce) @Mark Connolly 🍻 🚴🏼‍♀️ (he, him, his) @Imogen we got ours from LeeValley as well, and the suction to the table sucks. But that was a few years back, it might have improved. My parent's apple slicer uses a simple screw vise to attach to the table, and it's way nicer. If you can find the better attachment, I recommend it.

Bob Jonkman reshared this.

@silverwizard @HopelessDemigod Interesting. The suction has worked well for me on the countertop.
not because they can taste like a Sweet Tart candy?
@diedofheartbreak They are a lovely eating apple as well but I look for the smaller ones in the bag for those!
i went to Kilmarnock orchard many years ago, and they had huge cortlands that taste like this. the orchard is not really operational anymore afaik, unfortunately.

@diedofheartbreak This is the time of year to get my cortland fix! Grocery stores don't stock them so I resort to Macs for apple pie then.
