Me, smoking an entire cigarette in one go: Most Australians still only had Dial-Up until about 2004 or 2005
I didn't get DSL in the US until 2000, and even then it was like, 1.2M - 1.5M.
I think they got the download up to 4M - 7M, but I was a weird stickler about symmetric bandwidth back then (totally unlike me now 👀).
What's the saying? "The future is already here — it's just not evenly distributed."?
