Wait, fuck

I don't really eat hot sauce, but my uncle and I eat scorpion peppers he grows sometimes...

Should I be less worried about hot sauces?

@silverwizard: "worried" as in "this might be too hot for me"? Because like 99% of hot sauces you see at the store (in the US) are habanero or jalapeno and those are not ANYWHERE near scorpion levels of heat...

@BB :verified_cool: Yeah, that's what I suddenly realized. The peppers I eat every few years that I think are pretty normal are ... uh... hotter than I realized

@silverwizard: im a pretty cool dude, but Im not "accidentally and casually eat the third hottest pepper in the world" cool

@BB :verified_cool: I mean, my uncle grows them himself and I just eat some when he brings them. And he might not grow them perfectly for maximum spice, he's pretty north for peppers. I've definitely once had a plate of nachos that hurt my eyes several times, so I knew they were very hot peppers, but I guess I've always envisioned hot sauces as way hotter. I just looked yesterday and realized the ceiling of hotness might be lower than I thought.
