This is only a small part of what the Let's Encrypt snap package depends on - another snap package that is basically a full copy of the Ubuntu systemware. 290 megs of it, including copies of /etc and /var.

For JUST Let's Encrypt.

A small fraction of host-based IDS output from one of the Doctor's servers.  It references the contents of directory structure /snap/core/17200 and is a full copy of the basic systemware of an Ubuntu v20.04 LTS system.

Maybe somebody didn't know that .deb packages stopped being compressed with `ar` some years ago (I just found this out) and decided to replace it with a brand-new copy of the system? Or they decided to replace Docker with something that sucks even more?

@mos_8502 but but we can’t compile everything with static linking that would take up too much space
