I’d not used my #reMarkable tablet for a little while and wanted to put some new technical PDFs on it but it seemed unable to connect to their servers to check for software updates or to synchronise.

After trying all the usual things I learnt that you can SSH into them (philerb.com/2021/12/26/remarka…) and then I was able to update the DHCP configuration on it via `dhcpcd -k`.

It now work beautifully again but a “Refresh” button on the WiFi settings screen would be easier.

I’m a big fan of github.com/ddvk/remarkable-hac… on my remarkable. It makes it much easier to use!

@axelson Oh, that looks good, thanks. No problems with it? I have a terrible fear about bricking it.

I haven’t, although I haven’t updated my system software or the hacks in a while. But I definitely understand the concern about bricking the device!
