Google needs to launch an Apple TV competitor with powerful CPU and graphics. Like a Chromecast Pixel with Tensor for 159 EUR/USD.

Because the apple tv is a gaming console, not just a tv playback device.
with development lead times for must console games in the 1-3 year rangeΒΉ, who would bet on Google committing to supporting a product line long enough for a game to even launch, let alone recoup the development investment?

I don't think you're wrong about the competition opportunity, I just think Google might be culturally incapable of chasing it.
@gnomon We're not talking big boy gaming console like PlayStation.

The games we're talking about here are already available on Android, you can sideload them on Android TVs, we just don't have powerful enough graphics on them.
ah, reasonable!! Sorry for my misunderstanding.
@silverwizard lol, I just want a powerful big screen Android experience to run Android games.
