@Hypolite Petovan Just - how are there that many different ways to view logs. In the log viewer project.

And why do they all cost *a lot* of money to actually do the viewing

@silverwizard Because of vendor lock-in, which is the main business drive of AWS as a whole?

@silverwizard I don't understand the criticism, it looks plenty serious to me. Unless it doesn't do what it is advertised to do, I don't find it particularly unserious.

@Hypolite Petovan If you look at the article, you can see that CloudWatch wont let you, by default, read a flat logroll

This is literally a log aggregator that wont let you mass aggregate logs!

@silverwizard What about subscription filters? Aren't you just disappointed you can't tail a CloudWatch Log?

@Hypolite Petovan I am annoyed I can't, for example , ask for all logs from Timestamp to Timestamp across a series of log groups, or, even a collection.

I can't look at a single log stream chronologically.

I can't pivot to all errors in a collection.

These aren't things that are hard - these are things that are impossible
