Many years ago I decided that "vacation factor" is a much better phrase than "bus factor". But I never put it anywhere I think. So now I put it somewhere unwiredcouch.com/2025/01/13/vaβ¦
@Daniel So I think that vacation factor and bus factor have slight differences. We talk about Separation of Responsibilities and the way that we will need multiple different people who can do a job. But Bus Factor is kinda "we'll never have access to this person again, no takebacks", vacations don't carry the same level of catastrophy IMO.

I've heard people call it the Lottery Factor.
