If you don't (regularly!) donate to Mozilla to support the development of Firefox you have zero right to complain about them adding AI and other stuff.
How in the the hell are they supposed to fund their operation? Developing a browser is not cheap. They _have_ to try dumb shit like VPNs and AI and whatnot just to survive!
If you want that to stop then give them an alternative by donating: foundation.mozilla.org/en/dona…

in reply to Thomas Steen Rasmussen • •@Thomas Steen Rasmussen I have refused to donate to Mozilla for a long time due to their practices and have been working to support groups who can free the good parts of Firefox.
Mozilla needs to prove its not dead.

The only truly smart thing to do is make sure the people who might try the dumb things has access to your detailed record of your failed attempt at a crystal clear, micro-fine point of a purpose. (Also, eat healthy food, sleep just enough, read humbly.)
Mozilla isn't clear about its purpose, and it's using its resources accordingly.
