Folks, I think I'm getting a new car and I need advice. My beautiful 2007 Honda Fit got hit by a semi truck (going 1 km per hour, no one was injured), and it's likely to be a write off. I want an EV, preferably a car with seats that fold into the floor. It does not need to be fancy. Cheaper is better, and I plan to buy used (2-4 years old). For me a car is a tool, not a status symbol.

Suggestions? Thank you all for your advice and time! 💜

PS My accident was over a year ago, I'm just running out of time to make my insurance claim. It's now or never.

Kona, Ioniq, or Bolt, Bolt being probably the cheaper/better one, but somehow Chevrolet decided to stop selling them starting this year (not an issue since you're buying used probably).

It's worth thinking about how much range you want between charges, as that significantly affects price, and also how quickly the car can recharge if you plan to do any longer trips.
I don't think any EVs have seats that fold away quite like a Fit, as EVs normally have their batteries under the floor.
