The example makes it more comprehensible but "whenever you roll 8 or more" does that mean whenever a pair totals more than 8 or the total of all 3 dice is 8 or more? I assume the former, but if that's the case I'd probably reword it to say "when a pair is more than 8".
@Malin Yes, it's pretty straightforward, although I wonder why the gold vein would result in a lower settlement population than a tin one most of the time.

in reply to Malin • • •It's a dice table where one 3d6 roll produces three results, all 2d6 combinations. The 2d6 possibilities go from 2 to 12. Snake eyes to boxcars.
Not sure how it fits into a game or what the add 100 to the population is about.
