Is someone treating full-screen tmux as their primary way to operate a computer?

Stefano Marinelli reshared this.

I've been there before but at some point you have to install emacs somewhere

@neil @otfrom so, a term in full screen in autostart and that's it? How's the experiment going? :-)

Great... Right up until I want to use pretty much any modern website, and then pretty terrible!

I have a load of notes - I have just reached the end of my first week - which I will turn into a blogpost.

But happy to share them privately now, if you are also tinkering with this kind of thing and might want to see what I've done and how?

Right now, I don't start tmux automatically - just boots to the terminal (there is no graphical environment installed), and then I run a shell script to load a pre-configured tmux environment.

It would be easy enough to run that on login automatically.

@neil @otfrom I'm just thinking about what kind of swamp may I get myself into.

I'd not say primary way, but often it's one of the primary ways...
