ngl, i am still surprised how many people use reddit and twitter still. like, third party apps were one of the only ways i consumed these platforms. i just treated it like it was over. lmao

honestly even though I know those websites still exist, I just enjoy the fedi versions of them far more. The people on them seem far nicer, the subjects are way more aligned with what I like; I genuinely couldn't care less if other websites exist when I have everything I need right here :apartyblobcat:

Also Fedi is still growing, I'm kinda hoping it'll just keep doing that fedidb.org/
then all it has to do is outlast everything else 😏

Change is scary and requires effort to change one‘s habits. That’s probably the main reason for most people to stay with them. And probably because it still provides them with the content they come to these places for. These two likely outweigh any downsides disproportionately
