Occasionally, I stumble upon „outfits we all wore in 2012“ (or some other year from the last 2 decades) videos on Instagram/TikTok and sometimes I feel super weird for still wearing that particular style so many years later – but I’m also close to being middle aged (AAAAHHHH!!!), so I kinda don’t care about the latest fashion trends anymore.
I might have never really cared about fashion either, but still… :holdthepain: :cursedcry:

wearing what you want is more fun anyway. :^) don't forget that every fashion trend comes back after a while, so in fact we're just ahead of the curve.

@maximemelian this is very true. i saw some teenagers in the tram the other day and got such a strong 90s flashback because they wore baggy pants, crop tops and platform shoes asdfjshf… I might have stared for a few seconds :blobcatgiggle:

@LevelUp yeah that’s true, they wanna sell fast fashion and such… :beluga:

That being said, I still wear capri leggings (idk if that’s the correct English term, it’s just shorter leggings that end around mid calf) and sundresses/skirts which was „en vogue“ like 10-15 years ago I think :kekw:

@nadja :apple_rainbow: :coffeecup3: I often say
I have more years of experience not caring what teens think than the teens have been alive

@nadja :apple_rainbow::coffeecup3: I was reflecting recently that fashion is ever cumulative, which means that at any given point in history, you can dress as anyone has dressed in previous history. Any new trend only adds to it, past fashion forever lives, nothing is subtracted.

Bottom line: You're fine.
