@Hypolite Petovan Define "Something new"? I am pretty constantly learning skills and trying out stuff I've not done. But it's in a fairly small range of things I trust I like - mostly due to limits in free time, ya know.
If it's like "when was the last time you went wild and did a completely unknown thing" it would probably be "2019 when my first kid was born"
@silverwizard I believe silverwizard, who lives in a cave & tries over 10,000 new things each day, is an outlier and should not be counted.
Something new could be a new food you've never tried any declination before, a new art medium that doesn't involve tools you're familiar with, a new activity you had never considered before or ignored/avoided...
To me "trying something new" means "learning something new" whether it's a new cake recipe or something about myself. And I love to learn.
Sorry it's quite evasive. If you'd like a more specific example the past few months my 47-y self has been trying to improve my tech skills to de-Google my phone and switch to Linux.
@A Sweet Gentleman For me learning new recipes doesn't feel that new, it still is set in a familiar setting of cooking/baking, unless it's a recipe from a culture you aren't familiar with.
Same for tech, unless you've never used any of the tools involved with the new paradigm you are learning, it still feels too familiar to me to qualify as new.
Yes I thought about that. I guess that's the thing: the more experience you have, the more likely you can relate a "new" thing to something you already experimented.
I used an EV for the 1st time a few weeks ago. For me it was a new experience but it's still within the "driving" wider one.
