So tonight he watched it and he liked neither the music nor the movie. 😔

he might first need to appreciate Star Trek and its contemporary sci-fi series and tropes, and even then the lack of mindset from growing up in that era might just make it hard to appreciate #GalaxyQuest. :(

I feel like that movie is entirely a moment - a moment where Anime was still a little bit scrappy and underground - still a little surprising, science fiction was a little bit weird, and everything was a little bit different. Where we scraped the scraps of joy from the edges of culture. And then someone just.., handed us that. Which is, really good
