I'm using the fedilab app, bc I mostly only use my phone unless I'm doing something specific... But realizing it's difficult to read the reply threads on it (who is replying to whom)
Sadly true. Adding links, formatting and editing existing posts ist not possible with Fedilab nor DiCa. DiCa ist available at the PlayStore or on Github.
I am afraid there is no nice and usable Friendica-app at the moment. Best choice seems the website of your instance with "frio"-theme.
Fedilab works alright for just viewing any incoming post and comment without regard of threads. Anyway you may have noticed that you might switch to a related thread-view by tipping on any of these messages.
There is another app called DiCa, that has other limitations but lists only the contributions of your contacts without comments. Tipping on one of these brings you the related thread. So the start-view of the "Friends"-tab is less confusing. By swiping to the left or right you change view between "friends", "public" (=local), "network" (=global), "my" (=personal) and "favorites".
Thank you both for the suggestions and input... I just downloaded an app called webapps, which connects you to saved websites with a click, and while I don't think it was what @Hypolite Petovan was originally suggesting, it is along that vein. I'm hoping it works well, but I'll keep experimenting anyway :). I appreciate both of your patience in explaining things to me.
It sounds like the same, the core principle of "Add to Home Screen" on iOS is that no browser controls (back, forward, refresh, tabs) show, freeing some screen real estate for the website itself.
